Where it happened

Of the 148 incidents I researched, 105 can be set down at real coordinates, and this chart shows them. I drew the chart myself, coastline included, from public-domain Natural Earth data, clipped and simplified and then redrawn in graphite by the same seeded hand that draws everything else on these pages, so the coast wobbles like a pen line and wobbles identically on every build.

The projection is azimuthal equidistant centred on Jerusalem, which keeps every distance from the city true along its own bearing, and that seemed the right property for a corpus that keeps returning there. Blue is used for God's will and red for a human one, the same two pigments as on the other plates. A filled daub means the will and the hand belong to the same actor, and an open ring means the will worked through an instrument, the angel over the Assyrian camp or an army under orders.

Every coordinate has a documented basis. 71 sit on a named site, 57 of them an identified tell, ruin or excavation like Shechem at Tell Balata, where the identification has held since the 1913 excavations; 15 are regions, 13 are cities under modern towns and 6 are as coarse as a whole country, the plagues set down in the middle of Egypt because scripture names the land and nothing smaller. For 41 of the 105 the identification is still disputed, so every card gives the precision of its coordinate and the basis for it, and a daub never looks more certain than its source.

The 43 incidents that scripture never places are listed in full under the chart. Helam has never been found, the threshing floor where Uzzah died is called Nachon in Samuel and Chidon in Chronicles, Job's disasters fall somewhere in a land of Uz nobody can circle and the fourth trumpet smites the sun itself, which no projection reaches. Leaving them off would make the record look easier to place than it is.

Natural Earth 1:50m coastline, clipped to 24–52°E / 11–43°N, simplified with Douglas-Peucker and redrawn from a committed seed. The projection is azimuthal equidistant, centred on Jerusalem (31.7683°N 35.2137°E) at the small cross. Marks at the same or nearly the same spot are pushed a few pixels apart so each one can be picked out.
