The weft
The whole argument as one matrix, which this page calls the cloth. Each row and each column is a cluster, a group of arguments within one voice that belong together. The mark where a row and a column cross stands for the links from the row’s cluster to the column’s cluster. Violet marks are agreement and amber marks are opposition, and each kind of link is drawn as a different mark. The voices sit in bands along both edges, in the order you read them.
Take the crossing with the most links, between the thesis cluster of Mad Studies and the practice cluster of my canonical paper. Every link in it is opposition. In one the Mad Studies position is that psychosis cannot be deliberate: what can be chosen is simulation, so what I do is not LLM psychosis. In another it is that the people who were harmed are displaced when I am made the first receiver. Every argument those links land on falls.
The cloth
Rest on a mark and it is written out underneath. Click it to keep its card open: the card lists the links in the crossing with the reason for each, who proposed it and whether each argument stands or falls once the objections are weighed. Double-click a mark to see it argument against argument. Click a voice’s name to open its band. Double-click a voice’s name to see that voice alone. Double-click empty cloth to fold everything back up.
